Bio

Laureen Maschek is a visual artist and fashion designer. Her works comprise of digital, pencil, acrylics, fine colorful silks and delicate embroideries. They are a study of the intersection of nature and a celebration of the beauty found around us in all our environments. Laureen likes to draw the viewer’s attention back to the delicate details of life, studying the patterns and textures in nature and incorporating the digital and modern world around us.

German born and having lived most of her life in Melbourne, Australia. Laureen then moved to the Sunshine Coast, Queensland in 2010. There she fell in love with the lush green landscape of the hinterland and the beautiful beaches. Laureen completed a diploma in visual arts at Swinburne University in Melbourne. She was then later accepted into a bachelor of visual arts in sculpture at the Victorian College of the Arts."

After focusing on her career in visual arts, Laureen later moved on to enter the world of fashion, building her brand of timeless designs. Maschek provided the art of luxurious silk pieces, active-wear and more, with a focus of making every woman feel beautiful. Maschek's designs revolved around surrealism and nature, which incorporated her lust for fashion, making the essence of the brand incredibly desirable. 

 

After much adversity and global change, Laureen has now entered a new and exciting, creative era. Settling in the beautiful country town of Maleny with her life partner and young daughter, she is focusing her creative energy on the digital world of NFT's and blockchain.
